1. Establishment of the Danube Sturgeon Task Force (DSTF), Vienna, January 20, 2012

During the workshop organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the International Association for Danube Research (IAD) at the WWF headquarter in Vienna, the DSTF was established. An analysis of the state-of-the-art of sturgeon conservation in the Danube River Basin, after the adoption of the Sturgeon Action Plan (SAP, 2005), showed that sturgeon status has deteriorated.
